The Red Bench Project is a mental health awareness charity dedicated to suicide prevention. Over the past two years, they’ve placed Red Benches in suicide hotspots, creating a silent way for people to ask for help. Each bench includes information about resources and support services.
If you ever see someone sitting on a red bench, we encourage you to say hello. A simple interaction could make a life-saving difference. Wayne knows of at least four lives that have been saved because of a red bench—and likely, there are more untold stories out there.
