Procurement Assistant

The Procurement Assistant is responsible for supporting procurement operations.  This role ensures the efficient and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services and maintains strong supplier, customer and colleague relationships.   

This role involves strong organisation, excellent time management skills and motivation to continuously improve processes to provide excellent service. 

The Procurement Assistant works closely with Sales Department to ensure seamless customer service delivery and continuous improvement of processes and procedures. 

Roles and Responsibilities of a Procurement Assistant 

 Purchasing 

  • Assist with purchasing for the business, including hardware, software and service as required 
  • Sourcing and cost saving on IT hardware 
  • Recording purchases and receipt of goods accurately. 
  • Support with stock checks and the maintenance of stock levels to a minimum quantity 
  • Warranty claims 
  • Mobile and connectivity provisioning 
  • Keep accurate records of products and pricing within the company product catalogue 

 Maintain Communication 

  • Maintain supplier relationships 
  • Ensure delivery times are being met 
  • Communicate effectively to keep clients updated 
  • Maintain consistent communication with Sales Department until completion/handed over the Service 

 Collaboration 

  • Assist the Sales Team with quotes 
  • Day to day operational assistance of Head of Procurement 
  • Create and implement process as needed and in line with the organisation 
  • Collaborate with all teams to align with company objectives  

 Use Tools Effectively 

  • Fully utilise ITC’s tools, such as Microsoft 365, Connectwise, Hubspot etc 
  • Manage and update CRM systems with order/product details/updates
