ITC Service received the Environmental Champion Award at the Best of South Tyneside Awards 2024, recognising our commitment to sustainability in the region.
As South Tyneside Pledge members, we aim to use local suppliers whenever possible and continue our partnership with Invest South Tyneside.

Since 2016
Electric vehicles
Our first electric van arrived in 2016. Electric vehicles and solar charging are central to reducing the environmental impact of our journeys.

Repair. Reuse.
Hardware repair and recycling
Our in-house workshop repairs hardware to extend its useful life. Our recycling scheme helps recover reusable parts and responsibly manage equipment that can no longer be used.

Through the South Tyneside Pledge, we support local suppliers and consider our community in decisions about events, partners and contractors.

Our early initiatives
We teamed up with Tree Appeal and Professor David Bellamy to plant saplings. Pupils from Richard Avenue Primary School joined us in the biodiversity area at the Holiday Inn Washington.

Dedicated workshop
We built an in-house workshop team to repair hardware. Alongside our recycling scheme, this helps reduce electronic waste and replacement costs for customers.

Electric vehicles
Our Technical Director Christopher Potts championed electric vehicles, with our first electric van purchased in 2016.
